Looking for something different for a birthday, stag do, team day out or a gift for the angler who has everything? A day’s fly fishing at Felix Farm is a memorable experience. It’s just 30 minutes from London, close to the M4 near Bracknell, on an 8-acre spring-fed lake full of hard-fighting rainbow trout from 2lb to 10lb.
Why a fishing day works for groups
- No experience needed. Beginners can have a lesson, borrow tackle and be catching fish the same day.
- Relaxed and social. Share a boat, swap flies, and compare catches at the end of the day.
- A proper escape. Kingfishers, herons and birds of prey are regular visitors, and the lake is surrounded by meadow and woodland.
- Something to take home. Anglers can keep the fish on their ticket, and fresh trout for dinner is hard to beat.
Options for your group
Complete beginners: Beginner Starter Pack, £80 per person
Includes one hour of tuition, tackle hire and a 2 Fish Day Ticket, plus ongoing tuition. It’s the easiest way to introduce friends, family or colleagues to fly fishing.
Mixed ability groups
Experienced anglers can buy a regular day ticket (from £25) while newcomers take a lesson (£60 for 1 hour) or hire tackle (£20 per visit plus £25 deposit).
Take to the boats
We have six Cormorant rowing boats at £10 per visit, with a maximum of two people per boat. They’re perfect for pairs, and a great way to reach fish holding away from the bank.

- A season ticket: for the regular angler, with 25 or 50 fish options on bank or boat, payable in 3-month instalments.

Planning your group visit
- Call ahead on 07962 355019 (or 07887 513316 / 07768 853449), or email felix.farm@yahoo.co.uk, to check availability, especially if you need several boats or lessons.
- Rod licences: everyone aged 13+ who is fishing needs an Environment Agency rod licence. Juniors (13–16) get theirs free. See our rod licence guide.
- Kit: everyone must wear a hat and protective glasses. Check our guide on what to wear fly fishing.
- Timing: in spring/summer we’re open 08:00–18:20 (last tickets 16:00). In autumn/winter it’s 08:00–16:20 (last tickets 14:00).
- Children: the fishery isn’t suitable for under-13s unless accompanied by an adult, and children must always be supervised.
- Dogs are welcome if well-behaved and under control.
